What is LEHD?
Longitudinal Employer-Household Dynamics (LEHD) is an innovative program within the U.S. Census Bureau. Modern statistical and computing techniques are used to combine federal and state administrative data on employers and employees with core Census Bureau censuses and surveys while protecting the confidentiality of people and firms that provide the data.
What is LED?
Under the LEHD program, Local Employment Dynamics (LED) data are produced. LED is a partnership between state labor market information agencies and the U.S. Census Bureau . The LED data can be accessed thru the QWI Online tool and the Industry Focus tool. A third tool, OnTheMap, provides detailed maps showing where people work and workers live with companion reports on worker ages, earnings, industry distribution, and local workforce indicators.
