| | | | What is O*Net? | | | | | | Occupational Information Network Codes or O*Net codes were developed by job analysts and are used by State employment service offices to classify applicants and job openings, and by some career information centers and libraries to file occupational information. O*Net codes are based on the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system codes. They contain the 6-digit SOC code that relates to an Occupation, plus an additional 2-digit code for greater Occupational Title detail. Furthermore, O*NET is a database that includes information on skills, abilities, knowledge, work activities, and interests associated with occupations. Click on the link below to view O*Net online.
